Jane Addams Junior High School

Jane Addams Junior High School is a Junior High School in Schaumburg, Illinois, USA. The school, which was founded in December 1969, is located in the southwestern part of Schaumburg.

Addams has more than 700 seventh- and eighth-grade students and is a 90/90 school, meaning that 90 percent of students meet or exceed ISAT test scores in math and language subjects.

Students are assigned to an interdisciplinary team and are placed with a group of core teachers representing language arts, math, social studies, science and physical education. Students also have two class periods of encore classes to complete each nine-period day. The staff at Jane Addams functions as a Professional Learning Community with a focus on learning, collaboration, and results.

Addams was named after Jane Addams, a social worker who founded the Hull House in Chicago.

Athletics

The school hosts the cross country event "Crusader Fall Flite Classic Cross Country Invitational" for schools from the northwest suburbs. The event has in the past had over 700 participants.

Addams also has offers boys and girls basketball, wrestling, girls volleyball and track and field teams.
